Star Wars boasts dozens of planets and planetary systems that many fans are familiar with. Here are some lesser known planets that deserve more of a deep dive.

Tatooine, Coruscant and Kashyyk are among the more commonly referenced planets in the Star Wars canon. Each of those planets have been explored in plenty of depth and fans by now are likely up to speed on the unique environments and inhabitants of each.

Ever since Disney’s acquisition of Star Wars in 2012, countless new planets have been hinted at and briefly introduced. With the conclusion of the sequel trilogy last December, there are endless new planets that could be explored that fans have only gotten a small glimpse of.

Some of these planets have been explored briefly in movies while others have been introduced either through video games or shows like The Clone Wars and Rebels.

Many fans are eager to revisit these planets to see what secrets  and new stories maybe hiding in the far reaches of the galaxy. There is little question that fans are always searching for new lore in the fairly young “Disney era” of Star Wars.
