Three ideas for Taika Waititi’s new Star Wars film

Earlier this year, the mysterious Project Luminous was finally revealed as a series of books and comics surrounding the High Republic Era in Star Wars. Taking place roughly two centuries before The Phantom Menace, the High Republic will reportedly see the Jedi at the height of their power.

While there has been no official talk of a film just yet, it would not be surprising for the High Republic Era to culminate in a film for fans to see their favorite characters from the various books and comics on screen.

The prospect itself is tempting to think about, as we have not seen much of the Jedi at their most powerful. The closest look fans got into the larger Jedi Order on the big screen was during the Battle of Geonosis in Attack of the Clones. While there was certainly plenty of Jedi action in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series, nothing compares to a live action big screen experience, especially when it comes to the galaxy far far away.

Star Wars has always been about fun and there is no doubt that the High Republic Era will be any different. Waititi could certainly insert his unique brand of humor and storytelling in ways that could make a High Republic film stand out among the ever growing catalogue of Star Wars films.
