The Mandalorian: Jason Sudeikis forgot he punched Baby Yoda; We didn’t
Jason Sudeikis forgot about the time the punched Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian. We didn’t.
Remember that time Jason Sudeikis punched Baby Yoda? Of course, you do! Everyone watching The Mandalorian at the time couldn’t believe such a heinous act occurred.
But you know who did forget? Jason Sudeikis.

The actor played a stormtrooper alongside Adam Palley. The two had captured Baby Yoda to bring him to Moff Gideon. Before they entered the town, they waited for the all clear. In that time, they said some mean things and hit the vulnerable creature.
Jason Sudeikis became Star Wars enemy No. 1 after that.
To Sudeikis, he didn’t even remember doing it. He recently spoke to Uproxx in the ‘Tournament of Laughs’ about the moment and said he had filmed the episode months ago and barely remembered what he did. However, fans did not forget.
Sudeikis told Uproxx:
"“So they premiered on a Friday or a Saturday, whatever it was, I know it was the weekend because Otis and I were playing video games and Olivia (Wilde) came into the room and goes, “Hey, you’re trending on Twitter” and I’m not active on social media so in this day and age it’s kind of like, “Oh, that’s interesting.” And then immediately it’s like, “Wait, why?” I have no idea why. I already got a hard enough last name to spell.”“For it to be trending is bonkers, and then when she says, “apparently you punched Baby Yoda” and I was like, “Oh, that’s right!” I totally forgot that I literally hit… then I watched it and I was like, “I’ll be darned. How about that?” So that was the extent of it. It was very surreal and I started getting texts from friends going, “You bastard” and people saying like, “Did you really get to wear the suit or was that just your voice?” All those funny questions,” Sudeikis added. “And Liv is active on social media so I knew she was catching some guff on my behalf.”"
How can he forget such an important moment? In all seriousness, it just shows how evil stormtroopers are. If they’re willing to beat up on a defenseless cutie pie like Baby Yoda, who knows what else they’re capable of.
Sudeikis’ stormtrooper character got what he deserved anyway as IG-11 came to Baby Yoda’s defense.
It’s probably not what Sudeikis expected when he signed on to play a small part in The Mandalorian. But least now his role is unforgettable – for all the wrong reasons.
The Mandalorian Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ in October.
