Anakin’s Podracer

Not every ship on this list has to be one that flies in space. One of the best ones to appear on the screen only hovered a few feet off the ground, and that was Anakin’s pod racer. Anakin built this pod racer out of parts he found in Watto’s shop. Like most pods, the ship had a chariot like aspect to it, as the cockpit was behind the engines that were attached to it by cables. The engines were huge and cylindrical shaped and were connected by a purplish-pink bolt of electricity.

The engines were orangish-brown in color and the pod itself was silver-colored with a blue striped pattern that actually resembles Ahsoka Tano’s head tendrils. The most underrated aspect of the whole ship was probably the sound it made. This pod, which was deemed the fastest ever, hummed with raw power and energy. When it banks hard around the twists and turns of the Boonta Eve course, we can here the immense power that runs through this impressive machine.

Anakin showed not only how great he was at building things with this ship, but also what an excellent pilot he was when he flew it to victory in a race that still lives on in infamy in the cantinas of Tatooine.
