Updates on the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Hotel
In May 2020 a online user posted pictures of the Star Wars Hotel progress.
During the pandemic, Twitter user @bioreconstruct posted pictures of what looks like the Star Wars hotel construction. Known as the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the immersive hotel will be located in Walt Disney World.

Inside The Magic shared the tweets and more information about the hotel’s progress. While the photos may not look like much, they do provide an idea for how guests will be arriving and beginning their “2-Night, All-Immersive Adventure”.
In one tweet @bioreconstruct details where guests will be boarding the shuttle ship:
What’s interesting is that Inside The Magic details that, “Disney also recently filed a permit for “set installation” inside the new resort. This indicates that interior work is also ongoing. In addition to the passenger cabins, which will look like they belong on an exotic, luxury passenger starship, there will be multiple common areas. The Orange County construction permit did not specify where in the Star Wars hotel sets are being installed.”
At the time the article was posted Walt Disney World was not yet open due to the pandemic. Now that Hollywood Studios is open to the public with new safety measures will construction be continuing at full force?
How will these changes be affecting Galaxy’s Edge?
Will Disney be providing updates on the construction? What new developments will we see and will the hotel’s opening date in 2021 be delayed?
