Resistance Bombers

Starting to sound like a broken record here, but while they made the list, the Resistance Bombers’ look heavily relies on the B-Wing from Return of the Jedi. From the front, the Bomber looks very much like a B-Wing when it is flying with its cockpit in the vertical position. Where they differ, is that the bomber has a large section of the ship that protrudes backward and down, and not to the side.

While the look may not be 100% original, the use and function of these ships are. We don’t often see bombers in the Star Wars universe. In fact, the only time we do is when TIE Bombers are unleashed when the Millennium Falcon is hiding in the asteroid belt in The Empire Strikes Back.

While they look like a B-Wing, these ships are different, as we see at the start of The Last Jedi, because they are stock full of bombs. The entire lower appendage is loaded with powerful bombs, that when deployed, can take out a ship as large as a dreadnaught cruiser of the First Order. While they may not have the strongest shields, these are extremely powerful ships of the Resistance that can inflict serious damage to the First Order.
