After months of anticipation, we finally have confirmation as to when we will restart the adventures of Din Djarin…
We finally have confirmation as to when the second season of The Mandalorian will premiere! Via an announcement on social media today, Lucasfilm and Disney have confirmed that the hit series will begin streaming on Friday, Oct. 30.
The post, shared across multiple social media handles, also featured a new graphic, detailing the titular Mandalorian, and the universally beloved Child. With Baby Yoda itself front and center, we can expect to see a more prominent role taken by season 1’s scene-stealer.
The announcement comes after continued speculation over the release date of the season’s trailer. With that date now set, you would imagine that our first look at the second season can’t be far away. While we still don’t have a confirmed date as to when we can expect to see footage from the upcoming season, you can be sure that Dork Side of the Force will offer a full breakdown of the trailer, once it arrives.
Hype building
Having a premiere date in place is certainly one way of building anticipation for the season. With news that international treasure, actor Jeff Goldblum has shown interest in playing a role in the series, and an impending release of a limited release vinyl collection, it’s starting to feel very real all of a sudden. One would anticipate more Mandalorian-related news, merchandise, and that pesky trailer, all releasing in the coming weeks, as we draw closer to that Oct. 30 date.
