3. Episode III: Bail Organa

Bail Organa’s role in the prequels probably doesn’t get the amount of outcry it deserves. This is the adoptive father of Leia, and when she sends the infamous hologram to Obi-Wan Kenobi, she says he served her father in the Clone Wars. After we watch the films we realize that isn’t exactly true.

Bail Organa was a Senator that we meet briefly in Attack of the Clones. He apparently shares similar political views to Senator Amidala but that’s about it. After hearing Leia’s story about him we assume he had something to do with the war, and perhaps even fought in it. We hoped we’d see more of Bail Organa in this type of role in Revenge of the Sith but that simply wasn’t the case.

Bail Organa rescued Yoda from the attack on the Jedi Temple and then gave refuge to both Obi-Wan and Yoda as they tried to warn other Jedi about the purge that was taking place. He never got his hands dirty and definitely didn’t raise a blaster and fire at a clone trooper.

Sure it was cool to see him interact with the Jedi and realize the corruption that was taking place but there’s no denying that this character was extremely bland from top to bottom and much more could’ve been done with him.
