Some new Funko Pops! have been announced inspired by a hit Star Wars television show, The Clones Wars.

It was announced on Monday that Funko would be releasing some new Pops! based on characters from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated TV show. Funko reportedly finished the designs of the Pops! just as the final season of The Clone Wars was released this past February.

The new Pops! feature two different sculpts for fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano, as well as a new design for Darth Maul. Also revealed were Bo-Katan and Gar Saxon, who have come to Funko Pop! form for the first time. Rounding out the new Pops! are a Mandalorian super commando and a Clone Force 99 wrecker.

Funko’s senior product designer, Reis O’Brien, acknowledged that part of the creative process with these Pops! involved making sure they matched the animation style that was seen in The Clone Wars season 7, which had evolved from previous seasons, stating:

"The paint on the Pops! needed to feel like they properly represented the rendered animation, which led us to many rounds of trying different techniques of weathering, paint wipes, and dry brush techniques."

The new Pops! would be a welcomed addition to any fan of The Clone Wars merchandise.

While Clone Wars Pops! have been seen before alongside characters from the Skywalker Saga, the fact that these feature not only two new characters, but two molds for Ahsoka will likely make them desirable to collectors. Despite the fact that they are not part of an exclusive Comic-Con line, these will still likely become quick fan favorites.
