Star Wars leaks: A Ben Solo Funko! Pop could finally be coming

Finally, a Ben Solo Funko Pop! and more could be on the way.

December will mark a whole year since Star Wars Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker came out, the concluding film in the Skywalker saga that perhaps not-so-neatly wrapped up the age-old movie franchise. But regardless of the public’s reception of it, some fans could agree that a few certain Funko Pops! were missing since its release.

A year ago, just after the movie came out, I wrote a list of 10 Funko Pops! I was hopeful to see during a second wave of The Rise of Skywalker releases. And months after, only one of those Pops! have been created, Babu Frik. The second, and subsequent third, etc., waves of releases are meant to show off Pops! with all the spoiler moments we loved in the film. So maybe Funko wanted to give it plenty of time before they began to finally reveal those spoilery Pops!. (At least, that’s the best-case scenario.)

Now, the latest of the Star Wars leaks says that finally, just a few of those Pops! fans have been waiting for may come. This is according to @anerdydad on Instagram. So all leaks should be taken with a grain of salt until they are officially announced.

The list of leaked The Rise of Skywalker Pops! includes Ben Solo, Rey with the yellow lightsaber, revitalized Palpatine, and Rey with two lightsabers.

Not bad for 4/10 of the requests on my original list back in 2019. For Ben Solo fans in particular, this is something that they’ve wanted for quite a while. And it’s no wonder that it’s taken them so long to come up with a Rey that’s holding a yellow lightsaber (as well as the two lightsabers).

Unfortunately, we don’t quite know what “coming soon” could dictate as far as dates. The Funko schedule can be quite unforgiving for those who want instant gratification. The announced Mandalorian season 2 Pops!, for example, won’t be coming until November. And they recently announced Pops! for Amazon Prime’s The Boys won’t be available until March. It seems like by the time you get them, you will have already forgotten that you ordered them in the first place.

Nonetheless, it’s good to see these Pops! may finally be seeing the light of day. Now for that Dominic Monaghan Pop!… If they need any more good ideas, the list is theirs for the looking.
