5. Summa Verminoth

The Summa Verminoth is a large tentacled creature that we meet in the Solo film. When Han is making their escape from Kessel they encounter the beast in the Maw just outside Kessel’s orbital pull.

The beast is horrifying for a couple of reasons. First of all, it is just gross looking. It has a weird almost pear-shaped body covered in dozens of eyes. It also has long tentacles that flow out of its body like out of control dreadlocks. What is the most upsetting about this monster is the fact it can live out in space. Imagine just flying along and coming across this ginormous jellyfish-like creature and it grabs you pulling you in with those massive tentacles. That is extremely creepy and definitely worth the number five spot on this list.

4. Diagnoga

The Diagnoga is definitely a creepy creature. It isn’t really scary, as we don’t get to see what it fully looks like in A New Hope, but we see enough to realize it is very gross. The fact it lives in a garbage chute and apparently thrives off the waste of the Imperials makes one realize that this is likely a disease-ridden beast that should be avoided at all costs.

All we get to see of the Diagnoga is that it has a large red and yellow eye that stands out on a skinny little head that protrudes out of the filthy water. We also see that it has tentacles with little suction cups on them and that it apparently will feed on humans as it is quick to grab Luke Skywalker and pull him under the dirty, grimy water. Fortunately for Luke, the beast takes off when the trash compactor is turned on, or the Star Wars saga would’ve lasted just one episode.
