3. Sabine Wren

Star Wars Rebels fans know Sabine Wren quite well as she was one of the show’s main characters from start to finish. Sabine was born into Clan Wren of House Vizsla. She attended an Imperial Academy where she trained to be an Imperial cadet.

During this training, she helped create a formidable weapon nicknamed “The Duchess” that could incinerate Mandalorian armor and disintegrate those wearing it. When the Empire used this weaponry against Sabine’s fellow Mandalorians, she was horrified at how her inventions were being used to destroy her own people.

Sabine left the Empire and joined the Ghost crew. The Ghost crew originally operated as a lone rebel cell on the planet Lothal, but it became an integral piece of the organized Rebel Alliance that resisted and eventually defeated the Galactic Empire. Sabine helped the Rebel Alliance in many ways, including the crucial role she played in liberating Mandalore from Imperial rule and destroying the weaponry she helped create that was used against her people.

She was last seen in the closing moments of Star Wars Rebels where she and Ahsoka Tano embarked on a mission to find Ezra Bridger. There are rumors that Sabine could also appear in season 2 of The Mandalorian.
