4. Gar Saxon

While Tarre Vizsla, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Sabine Wren represented Mandalorian culture with honor, Gar Saxon represented it with shame. During the Clone Wars, he was willing to turn against and even kill some of his own people while serving under Maul.

Saxon helped free Maul from the Separatists and fought alongside him and other members of the Shadow Collective. He also served under Maul during the Siege of Mandalore, which included him executing the captive Prime Minister Almec on Maul’s orders. Maul abandoned Saxon to “die well” and Saxon was taken captive by the victorious Republic and Mandalorian forces.

His captivity didn’t last long as when the Empire took control of Mandalore, Saxon turned against his people again. He was named Governor of Mandalore by Emperor Palpatine. With the help of the Imperial Super Commandos under his control, he suppressed the Mandalorian people for the sake of power.

Saxon’s reign ended at the hands of Clan Wren. Even though he wielded the Darksaber against her, Saxon was bested by the Mandalorian Sabine Wren. When she refused to kill him, he tried to shoot her in the back but was unable to as Sabine’s mother Ursa Wren shot Saxon through the heart.
