Just in time for the holiday season, we’re looking at which Star Wars characters would be the best guests to have over!

If you aren’t a Wookiee from Kashyyyk, you may not know what Life Day is. It is not too dissimilar from the holidays celebrated on Earth. Life Day is a sacred holiday celebrated on Kashyyyk, out in the Mid Rim. Every three years, Wookies return to Kashyyyk to pay respect to their fallen family members and honor the living with fireworks, good music, and decorated trees.

Life Day was created specifically for The Star Wars Holiday Special and it lives on throughout Star Wars canon and fandom. Throughout Star Wars Legends there are references to festive holiday attire, Life Day tinsel bombs, perfectly-timed snowfall, and gift exchanges.

The real question here is, who would you invite to celebrate Life Day with you?

Star Wars is filled with so many great characters, but not all of them are the kind that you would bring home for the holidays. Sorry, Darth Vader. We know how dinner goes with you. We can’t have you Force choking our guests over the last slice of pie. So what exactly makes someone the perfect holiday guest? Well, it’s a good thing you asked.

To make the cut for our highly competitive holiday guest list, you’re going to have to be one of the good guys. Palpatine, we can’t have you using force lightning on the neighbors. And Anakin, can we trust you around the kids?

If you’re wondering what’s for dinner, we can assure you it won’t be roasted porg. We will be trying to replicate the delicious dishes at Galaxy’s Edge and don’t worry, we’ll leave blue milk out for Santa Claus. Okay, enough with the feast planning, our guests are getting hungry!
