13. Unkar Plutt

Imagine the circumstances with Unkar Plutt at your party. Ask for him to pass the turkey and he will only give you a piece instead. Instead of giving you a Christmas present, he’ll sell it off to make a few credits. From what we see in The Force Awakens, Unkar Plutt is simply rude.

He vastly underpaid Rey for her goods, doing so because he knew that she had no choice. He hires henchmen to do his bidding and keep control over his Jakku marketplace in the Niima Outpost. And he took advantage of scavengers that had no other way to live. And what we see in the film is only a sliver of Plutt’s control, as he owned a monopoly over goods in Jakku.

There’s a reason he resides inside too, as his aquatic characteristics from his homeworld of Crul do not mesh well with the surrounding environment. Therefore, he keeps a close eye on things from his stand and turns to the First Order in a moment’s notice when Rey arrives with BB-8.

That poor character ultimately costed him though, as in a deleted scene, Chewbacca ripped off one of Plutt’s arms as he attempted to berate Rey at Maz’s Castle on Takadona. So I guess he may not want to venture outside too much, anyway.
