15 worst Star Wars characters to invite over for the holidays
1. Watto
One of the holiday traditions in my family is sitting around the table to play cards or board games. Poker, Michigan Rummy, Monopoly, you name it. The last thing you want at that is a cheater. We all remember Watto’s infamous tricked die to try and win the bet against Qui-Gon Jinn in Anakin’s podrace. Fortunately, Qui-Gon used the force to turn things in his favor. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have that same power.
The worst part is that Watto’s betting tactics are not even his worst character traits. In addition to being a junk dealer, Watto was also a human trafficker and slave owner, notably of Anakin and his mother, Shmi. While Anakin was able to escape and train to become a Jedi, Shmi did not have the same good fortune.
Neither did Watto, though, as his risky betting eventually came to cost him and we found a very different Watto in Attack of the Clones. So, I would say it is best to leave him on Tatooine.
