Topps Digital Star Wars: Card Trader enables fans to take all of the excitement of Star Wars with them via their phones with collectible cards!

I had the opportunity to speak with Marc Seal, the Senior Content Product Manager who works on Topps Digital’s Star Wars: Card Trader.

Topps has been able to make the impossible possible by bringing Star Wars directly to the fans through the Star Wars: Card Trader app.

Fans can collect digital cards including Seal’s favorite, the kinetic art cards from the Star Wars Saga.

The kinetic art cards are a “snapshot of characters that come to life.” Kylo Ren was used as the first full set of kinetic cards.

His dark and chaotic nature was a perfect match to capture this “frozen in time view of the character and scene.”

In fact, Topps was able to have Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) sign his name and digitally they were able to animate it! This amazing addition to an already impressive card series connects the fans to the actor in a personal way.

Topps is already working on a Rey kinetic set in the near future where they will be having Daisy Ridley also sign her name and animate it!

Do you love The Mandalorian? Then you will love Topps’ Mando Mondays!

Since Season 1 of The Mandalorian was released, Topps has been able to do so much more with the digital card content.

Topps work directly with Lucasfilm to choose which art will be used from the most recent episode without giving away too many spoilers.

Seal explained that they want to “try to be cognisant of spoilers” just in case fans haven’t seen the newest episode.

In fact, any kind of Mandalorian content is very secretive. As each episode is released on Disney+ on Friday, the episodes’ cards are set to release on Monday at 4 p.m. — giving you plenty of time to watch over the weekend.

Fans will be able to re-experience the excitement from the new episode in a 12 card set each week!

What Topps does not refrain from is releasing all of the end credit art that SEal adores, at the end of each Mandalorian episode.

When I asked Seal if he had a favorite card from The Mandalorian his response was in regards to episode cards, “The Child with his bowl of soup,” from last season.

Due to COVID, Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Gina Carano (Cara Dune) were mailed tablets for their signatures.  Seal recently received them back which means we will be seeing their animated signatures in the near future!

You can watch the ToppsDigiCast every Friday at 3 p.m. live on Twitch. And to learn more about Topps Digital’s Star Wars: Card Trader including where to download the app, you can visit the official website.
