The Nite Owl: Bo-Katan
Bo-Katan Kryze was born on Mandalore and is presumedly the younger sister of Satine and an unknown third sibling, though this has not been clarified.
Alongside her sister, Bo was an aunt to their nephew, Korkie. Bo-Katan was the polar opposite of Satine who was known for being a pacifist. She used violence whenever necessary and was not afraid to alter deals.
During the Clone Wars, Bo was allied with Pre Vizsla’s zealot and terrorist group, Death Watch while also leading the warrior crew, the Nite Owls. Bo-Katan’s relationship with her sister was often strained because of their differing loyalties. However, they were close enough for Satine to affectionately use the nickname, Bo for her sibling.
If there was one thing the Kryze sisters had in common it was a love for Mandalore and the people that they served.
While Satine wasn’t someone who engaged in combat, Bo-Katan was well trained. She was as fierce in combat as she was good with a blaster and she could take out multiple opponents at one time. During the Siege of Mandalore, she said to Ahsoka Tano that she wished she was good at something else, other than fighting in constant wars. She had every right to say that this because the only life she had ever known had been on the battlefield.
During the time of the Empire, Bo crossed paths with Ahsoka’s friends in the Rebellion. One of them being Sabine Wren, the daughter of her Death Watch cohort, Countess Ursa Wren. Until the arrival of Lady Kryze, Sabine had possession of the Darksaber, the heirloom of the Mand’alore, and was the true leader of the Mandalorian people.
Kryze later takes the weapon after Wren gives it back to her. This allowed her to rally the clans together in their fight against the Empire.
