Teamwork is a theme that embodies Star Wars as a whole but will it be the factor that saves The Child on The Mandalorian?
With season 2 of The Mandalorian coming to a close in a matter of episodes, we have one question to ask: will The Child be rescued or will that be saved for season 3?
If the show intends on saving our beloved Grogu by the end of this season, then perhaps his rescue will be due to a little something called teamwork. What do I mean by this? Teamwork is quite a common theme in Star Wars as a whole. It’s how a majority of evil forces are defeated and proves the value of allies and friendships.
Throughout the current season of The Mandalorian, our main character has dealt with several situations that required teamwork.
As he himself guided the “Frog Lady” to safety, he also aided fellow Mandalorians on a rather difficult mission in which if he wasn’t involved they would have failed.
Let’s not forget he and Cobb Vanth made peace with the often violently depicted Tusken Raiders and our main character himself became friends with a previous enemy: the Jedi.
With Grogu now in Moff Gideon’s hands, the Mandalorian will not be able to rescue him on his own. What better way to embody what Star Wars means than by having not only other Mandalorians come to his aide but perhaps a few surviving Jedi who heard Grogu’s call from the mountain as well?
This will perhaps repair the damaged past Mandalorians have with Jedi, coming together to fight a common enemy. In a sense, they both have the same mission: The Child.
The Mandalorian also has Boba Fett and Fennec on his side, who knows who else will come to help.
Star Wars brings people together, both for those who are devoted fans and the characters themselves who exist in that universe. It’s time for everyone to come together once again for the same cause.
