Here’s when you can expect The Mandalorian season 2 finale to drop.

For the last few weeks, we’ve all learned the way of the Mandalorian by spending more time with Mando and Baby Yoda on their adventures. The Mandalorian season 2 has offered up great episodes, and not one has missed the mark yet. But eventually, the adventure will come to a close and the season finale will be upon us.

The Mandalorian season 2, after all, is only eight episodes long. Just like season 1, that means The Mandalorian is only here for eight weeks of the year, and then we just have to wait ’til next year for the next season to happen.

Overall, it’s been an exciting journey that many will be sad to see come to a close by the end of this year. What started back in October as an adventure for Mando to help Baby Yoda find his home has now turned into an urgent rescue mission to free Baby Yoda after being captured by the Empire. But just when can we expect to see the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian?

The Mandalorian season 2 finale date

The Mandalorian season 2 finale will be known as season 2 episode 8, otherwise known as Chapter 16 in the entire saga so far. And with its eight-week run, that means The Mandalorian season 2 finale will be released on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, on Disney+.

Here’s the full schedule for all of the episodes of The Mandalorian season 2.

  • Chapter 9 – Oct. 30
  • Chapter 10 – Nov. 6
  • Chapter 11 – Nov. 13
  • Chapter 12 – Nov. 20
  • Chapter 13 – Nov. 27
  • Chapter 14 – Dec. 4
  • Chapter 15 – Dec. 11
  • Chapter 16 – Dec. 18

That leaves the series very little time to wrap up all the storylines that are currently going on. It’s possible we’ll get a major plot twist or cliffhanger when it comes to the final episode. After all, if there’s going to be a season 3, we’ll have to keep the story going. Baby Yoda can’t just run off and go train with another Jedi and they’ll call it a day, right?

Plus, there’s so much more on the Dark Side of things as well. Moff Gideon needs Baby Yoda for his experimentation, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to give up that easy. So, whatever happens next, we just hope things will end up fine for Mando and the Child.
