Lucasfilm revealed more about the upcoming Cassian Andor series, including the reveal of a new sizzle reel about the series.

Yes, we’re aware Cassian Andor died during the events of Rogue OneHowever, that is not the end of his story. In fact, we’ve known for a while he would be getting his own show, but nothing has been known about the series until now. The Disney Investor Day presentation on Thursday unveiled a sizzle reel for the upcoming show that will debut in 2022.

The series will be called simply, Andor will see Cassian fight against the Empire before he teams up with Jyn Erso and their friends in Rogue One. During the two-minute sizzle reel that’s hosted by Diego Luna, who will also serve as an executive producer, we see a quick take on stunt rehearsals and the building of sets. Also featured in the reel are short clips of Neal Scanlan’s creature department building the different alien species that will appear throughout the show’s run.

Scanlan also said that his team is approaching their creature building the same the way they would if they were working on a film and the way they work will not be any different.

Andor will see the return of Genevieve O’Reilly as a young Mon Mothma and will also see the return of Alan Tudyk as Cassian’s droid and best friend, K2-SO. The series will be 12 episodes long.

Of the series as a whole, Luna said, “It is the building of an evolution.”

This means we will see how much Andor evolved prior to his appearance in Rogue One. Could this mean that we could see him operating as Fulcrum during the series? We can only guess until we come closer to the show’s release date which has not been revealed as of yet.

Next. Temuera Morrison brought his Maori culture to Boba Fett and it couldn’t have been a better move. dark
