The synopsis and title have been revealed for The Mandalorian season 2 finale!

The day has finally come, and The Mandalorian season 2 finale has finally been released on Disney+. We won’t give away any spoilers about the plot of the episode. But if you’re curious, the title and synopsis have been revealed by Disney+ finally.

This week marks episode 8 of season 2, and what a wild ride it has been so far. We began the saga with the Mandalorian searching for other Mandalorians to assist in finding a Jedi. Then we found both Mandalorians and a Jedi (Ahsoka Tano), but she was unable to train Grogu. That led to the duo heading to Tython for Grogu to send out a call for a Jedi trainer, but he ended up being kidnapped by the Empire moments later. But luckily, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand joined the fight — because they were going to need all the help they could get.

By episode 7, “Chapter 15: The Believer,” (last week’s episode) Mando had enlisted the help of prisoner Migs Mayfeld. And together, they worked to sneakily infiltrate an Imperial base in order to get the coordinates to Moff Gideon. After blowing up the base, all that was left was to find Moff Gideon and save The Child. So, what does Disney+ have to say about the final installment of The Mandalorian season 2?

The Mandalorian Chapter 16 title and synopsis

The Mandalorian season 2 finale title is officially called “Chapter 16: The Rescue.” And here’s what the synopsis is, according to Disney+:

"The Mandalorian and his allies attempt a daring rescue."

Well, from the horse’s mouth, a rescue attempt is going to be in progress this episode. That’s all we’ll reveal about that. You’ll just have to watch for yourself to see what goes down in this final episode of The Mandalorian season 2.

Overall, though, it’s been quite an exciting journey. And for many fans, it’s been amazing to see the bond deepen between Mando and The Child. We were along for the ride with Mando as he learned everything about The Child, from his name to his backstory. And after all that, The Child was stolen from him and made a prisoner of the Empire. We all know Mando will stop at nothing to get him back, and fans will just have to see how that plays out in the final episode.
