With Light of the Jedi out now, author Charles Soule is sharing his reaction to the praise for his new novel.
This week marks the beginning of a new chapter in Star Wars: the release of The High Republic literary series. Previously, we reported on the reviews coming in for the first novel of the series, Star Wars: Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule. Overall, the reviews were quite good, and it seems like many people are excited to see what’s to come from the High Republic series. And now, Soule himself is speaking out on Twitter about the success his book is seeing so far.
The book, as he found, is currently trending as one of the top sellers already. He started by tweeting out an image that featured his book in the #6 spot for best sellers and, of course, he had to thank the fans for their support. Then, a few hours later, he followed up on that tweet to share his excitement for the book trending on Twitter.
As more praise began to pour in, Soule also thanked some of the people who were happy to support the book — from those reading it to those doing the narration for the novel. Voice-over artist Marc Thompson tweeted out his support for the book, sharing a photo of him in the recording booth while narrating Light of the Jedi, and Thompson remarked that it was an honor to get to record the narration for this novel.
As of this publishing, the book is now #5 on Amazon’s Best Seller list. Someone on Twitter even joked that his book even pulled ahead of actor Matthew McConaughey’s novel Greenlights, which is currently sitting in the #7 spot on the same list. Way to go, Soule!
Overall, it looks like the enthusiasm is quite high for the novel. And along with the excitement for his debut novel for The High Republic series, it looks like people are also excited for the other titles coming out from the literary series. There’s so much coming from authors like Cavan Scott, Justina Ireland, Daniel José Older and Claudia Gray, so it’s bound to be an excellent new Star Wars series.
