3. He completes his training and is off doing Jedi things

This was hinted at in the previous slide, but it is very possible that Grogu trains with Luke Skywalker for a matter of years and earns the title of Jedi Knight. There are a couple of things that aren’t entirely clear in Star Wars, and one is the length of time it takes to become a Jedi, and the other is how old Grogu will be before he starts sprouting.

The little guy is around 50 years old in The Mandalorian and maybe in the next 25 years, he hits a growth spurt and is able to actually do things on his own as Yoda could. If that is the case, Luke could have sent him off on some missions. He was very obsessed with finding ancient Jedi artifacts, and that could be something that he’d send his top apprentice out to do.

Whatever the reason, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Grogu is a Jedi and serving the galaxy as a peacekeeper during the time of the sequel trilogy. He could be far away and not able to sense the disturbance in the galaxy at the time those events were taking place. Perhaps by the end of The Rise of Skywalker, he is able to sense Rey’s presence and seeks her out. That is definitely up in the air, but it is a very plausible outcome for Grogu (and a more positive one).
