Check out this viral story of a wife who discovered that her new historic rug is actually the story of Star Wars.

What happens when a husband purchases a rug that his wife believes to be “historic”? He details the experience on TikTok, of course! User Shawn Bolz posted the video on Jan. 15 and the video has received over 500,000 views so far.

The clip begins with a shot of the rug itself, which from far away seems to have nondescript characters. “My wife discovered that the rug I bought in my office was not what she thought,” he wrote. “In our new French-style home she sent this video to her friend,” he captioned it before adding that she had sent the video to a group text with her friends to call him out. (We’re sure it’s all in good fun, of course!)

“Okay upon first glance it’s just a beautiful french-style rug,” she is heard telling the camera. “Upon further investigation… Star Wars. We see Darth Vader, R2-D2, stormtrooper,” she says as she rattles off the characters.

The surprised wife continued by pointing out other hilariously deceiving Star Wars images on the rug. For example, she pointed out Luke and R2-D2 in Dagobah on their search for Yoda. Another Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back scene depicted Luke at the beginning of the film when the young Jedi is stuck in the cave with the “Yeti,” as she called it — or rather, the “wampa.”

She also showed the scene where Luke discovers that Darth is his father, and Yoda just being Yoda. The bright side to this happy little incident? The husband declared that he was absolutely proud of his wife for knowing all of the Star Wars scenes.

If you’re a fan of the rug, you can actually purchase it for yourself. Ruggable has a collection of Star Wars rugs that feature numerous colors, styles, and characters. The specific rug featured in the video is called Star Wars Toile Blue Rug. It retails for $229 for a 5 x 7-foot area rug, however, it comes in a variety of sizes and shapes.
