Anthony Mackie shows off prized Boba Fett helmet signed by Jeremy Bulloch

Marvel Cinematic Universe celebrities recently have been showing off just how big of fans they are when it comes to the Star Wars universe. Last week, we reported that WandaVision actress Elizabeth Olsen is a huge Star Wars fan — and she owed her love of the franchise to wanting to enter another big franchise, the MCU.
Now, the next MCU celeb showing off their love of Star Wars is another person who has a Disney+ show coming up: Anthony Mackie, star of the soon-to-come series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Last week, Mackie appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden and showed off one seriously cool Star Wars-related item he likes to keep around. He showed it off during a segment Corden likes to do with guests called Late Late Show and Tell, and we’re glad Mackie showed off one of his most valuable items.
The actor, after a short amount of teasing, revealed that his item was a Boba Fett replica helmet. It was one so special to him, in fact, that he said he never took it out of its case until this moment to show Corden. And it wasn’t just any replica helmet, the helmet itself was signed by the original Boba Fett actor, the late Jeremy Bulloch. (Mackie called the actor “Jimmy Bulloch” in the interview, but we’ll take his word that it was signed by the real deal!)
“He signed it for me, dude! Look at that!” Mackie said excitedly to the host as he showed off the prized possession.

But wait, there’s more! After showing off his helmet, Corden then gave Reggie Watts the opportunity to ask a question, and Watts jokingly asked if the homing device on the helmet was real. Mackie replied: “This is a mock-up of the actual helmet that was in the movie. It has all the dents and scrapes. But my motorcycle helmet, I got my makeup artist in Cincinnati to paint it — I should go get it.”
That led Mackie to briefly leave the shot so he could go and grab the next item he wanted to show off to the crowd. This time, it was a true motorcycle helmet, painted exactly in the style of Boba Fett’s helmet. At the beginning of the interview, Mackie joked that he told his agent he wanted to be cast as Boba Fett and would really love that role, so it’s clear to see Mackie is a true Boba Fett fan. And with so much crossover happening between Marvel and Star Wars these days, maybe Mackie will find himself on the set of a Star Wars production soon.
