Character History:
The first female to hold the mantle of Mand’alor was a retired Mandalorian bounty hunter/assassin named Shae Vizla. At first, she was reluctant to assume command as Mand’alor because she had lost interest in fighting wars while in service to the Sith Empire. Nevertheless, she did not shun her duty to her people. As Mandalore the Avenger, Vizla was able to rally many clans to her cause and fight back against the Eternal Empire.
Together with her right-hand man, Torian Cadera, she mounted several successful attatcks against the Eternal Empire including a retaliatory strike on one of their droid factories on the planet Darvannis. The Avengers attack on this factory was further aided by the one called The Outlander.
The latter impressed the Avenger so much that she decided to pledge the Mandalorians to the side of the Alliance, combining their forces together to repel their common foe. The Avenger later led her people at the Siege of Voss in what became one of the decisive battles in the revolt against the Eternal Empire.
Powers/Skills: A deadly efficient bounty hunter/assassin with combat and marksmanship skills to rival those of Boba Fett. She was also adept at using her jetpack for sustained flight and maneuverability during combat.
Weapons: Her armor’s gauntlets housed two miniature flamethrowers and rocket launchers that fired projectiles. Vizla also carried a blaster that fired red bolts of plasma.
VIZ-la or VIZ-sla? : Although their surnames are similar, Shae Vizla is not of the same clan as Tarre Vizsla— the Mandalorian-Jedi — or Pre Vizsla who later led the infamous Death Watch.
She’s hot: Shae Vizla was given the nickname “Torch”, presumably because she had a nasty habit of disintegrating/incinerating her foes.
