Actor Ray Park recently shared another behind-the-scenes look at the process to turn him into Darth Maul. This photo, shared on Instagram, is from his time shooting scenes for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Park wrote in the caption: “The Rule of Two. Have a wonderful day! SITH RULE!”

The photo shows Darth Maul’s black and red skin patter being painted on his face while Park holds a dummy head of the iconic Zabrak Sith lord. Park also shared another image of the horn prosthetics cap he wore for the role several days prior.

The mention of the “Rule of Two” references the Sith philosophy established by Darth Bane a thousand years before the events of the prequel films. The Rule of Two prohibited more than two Sith existing at any given time — just one master and one apprentice. In The Phantom Menace, it’s Palpatine/Sidious and Darth Maul. By Revenge of the Sith and into the original trilogy films, it’s the Emperor/Sidious and Darth Vader.

Park’s trips down memory lane posted on Instagram have had fans hoping and begging for more appearances by the character seen in two major films, animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels and a slew of comic series and novels.

In Solo, Maul is revealed in a hologram to be a leader in the crime syndicate Crimson Dawn. At the end of the film, Qi’ra briefs Maul on the failure of the recent coaxium mission as she assumes Dryden Vos’ position following his death. Maul tells Qi’ra to bring the space yacht to Dathomir, his home planet, saying she will be now be working closely with him.

Fans have also been petitioning to #MakeSolo2Happen, specifically to see what happens with Qi’ra, Maul and Crimson Dawn.
