Season 2 of The Mandalorian has proved that almost any character from Star Wars lore can be brought back in the new Star Wars TV universe — regardless of the Skywalker saga being over. And with Star Wars characters such as Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett making cameos in The Mandalorian, we’re wondering, who else could make an appearance in season 3 and beyond?

Other characters immediately come to mind for a cameo. For example, there can be various other bounty hunters such as Bossk, Dengar, 4-LOM and more. They could meet any of the travelers on their treks through the galaxy and any bounty hunter looking to collect a bounty or settle a score.

And there are also more major characters who can appear in the series now that the doors are totally open. Here’s how 10 of Star Wars’ most popular characters could find their way onto The Mandalorian.

1. Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker

Darth Vader could make an appearance on The Mandalorian by way of a flashback that could really go back as far as the origin of Vader himself. The Dark Lord of the Sith was very important to the Empire and held in high regard, so Darth easily knew everything of the Empire, including future projects.

The ghost of Anakin Skywalker is a really good fit for a cameo, especially now with the inclusion of his one-time padawan, Ahsoka Tano, added to the show. Hayden Christensen reprising the role and confronting Ahsoka at some point in the series would be mystical.

2. Lando Calrissian

Lando Calrissian became a hero of the Rebellion thanks to his friend Han Solo. Lando has many business endeavors on various planets that at some point could be thrown into the series. Lando also has much useful intel and knowledge of factions.

3. and 4. Chewbacca and Han Solo

Chewbacca the Wookiee warrior and Han Solo became heroes of the Rebellion and major players in the war against the Empire. Chewie and Solo could show up at some point to meet underworld characters to obtain info for the New Republic, distinctly on account of his and Han Solo’s smuggling past.

5. Leia

Leia could appear on a Rebel-controlled planet that the Mandalorian and Grogu stumble upon or have to land on due to starship failure or supplies.

6. Yoda

How cool would it be if the ghost of Yoda gazed upon Grogu? Yoda meets baby Yoda, and it can be virtually anywhere due to Yoda being a Force Ghost. Yoda could even help to instruct the little one in the ways of the light side of the Force.

7. Obi-Wan

The ghost of Obi-Wan, as Yoda could, can travel to any planet and meet the Mandalorian and Grogu and warn about various evils of the Empire. Kenobi could help with the training of the child.

8. Mace Windu

If Mace Windu survived the events of Revenge of the Sith, and if that becomes a public record, Boba Fett no doubt will be looking to exact vengeance upon the Jedi Master. Windu could become instrumental in training the Child, along with Kenobi, Luke Skywalker or whoever else.

9. Admiral Ackbar

Admiral Ackbar played a key role in helping to destroy the Empire during the Battle of Endor, so it would be very fantastic to see what is next for the Admiral. But careful. It could always be a trap.

10. Emperor Palpatine

Darth Sidious aka Emperor Palpatine aka “the Sith Lord we’ve been looking for ” is apparently alive and well as we see in The Rise of Skywalker. The Mandalorian is set approximately five or six years after Return of the Jedi. At this point, the Emperor has been largely assumed dead since Endor. So, the question is, what is Palps doing approximately 25 years before revealing himself again in The Rise of Skywalker?  A cameo appearance of an embittered and weakened Emperor could help solidify the struggling Empire and bring merit to the development of the First Order. Maybe throw Snoke in there too… or an origin story of Sidious and Snoke.

The possibilities are endless for character cameo appearances on The Mandalorian. With a galaxy as big as the Star Wars galaxy, the possibilities are endless for character incorporation.
