Since the announcement of The Book of Boba Fett in the final moments of the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, rumors have circulated around the Star Wars fandom about when filming would begin for the series. Last week, the man himself put those rumors to rest during an interview with the New Zealand current affairs show The Project, which fans on Reddit first discovered.
In the interview, Temuera Morrison discusses being in Los Angeles for filming and goes into some detail about how the COVID-19 process is being handled on set. He also gave the hosts a short tour of his gym set-up, mentioning that his role is quite physical and jokingly refers to himself as “Mr. Action Man.”
Temuera Morrison also showed off his new T-shirt which featured artwork of rock band-themed Boba Fett standing in front of stormtroopers that read “Boba Frett and the Strum Troopers” and joked about practicing Billy Idol songs with The Book of Boba Fett Executive Producer Robert Rodriguez. From the Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian special it is quite clear that the duo enjoys entertaining the cast and crew with musical interludes between takes.

While little is known about what direction the Star Wars team plans to take the new
Book of Boba Fett
series, it was announced last year that the show’s stars would be Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. The pair sparked a lot of interest
after they re-entered the series in Chapter 14: The Tragedy, which was directed by Rodriguez.
Both The Book of Boba Fett and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series are set to film in Los Angeles, with Kenobi beginning sometime in March or April. The Book of Boba Fett is set to premiere in December.
What do you think The Book of Boba Fett will be about? Do you think Boba Fett and Fennec Shand will team up to take down more underworld criminals like Bib Fortuna? How will it tie into The Mandalorian? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
