When will Bo-Katan Kryze make her return to Star Wars? Actor Katee Sackhoff isn’t quite sure.

In an interview with ComicBook.com during her appearance on the virtual Topps WinterCon, The Mandalorian star talked about her love for the character after playing her and voicing her over the years.

Though fans have been clamoring for Bo-Katan’s return in future Star Wars stories — with some rumors pointing to a possible appearance in the animated series The Bad Batch — there hasn’t yet been confirmation of the character’s return in The Mandalorian season 3.

Sackhoff told ComicBook.com that she has “no idea” when Bo-Katan is coming back. However, she did note that she loves to text series producer Dave Filoni about the famed Mandalorian. Sackhoff said:

"I’d love to know how it is she ended up where she’s at right now, because of where she started. And I love to talk to him about the missing pieces to where she is now…so I know all that stuff, but I have no idea what’s happening."

Sackhoff also talked about her love for the character’s arc in The Mandalorian, especially after the historic confrontation teased in the season 2 finale. It all has to do with the Darksaber and the rightful wielder of the epic black-bladed lightsaber. At the end of the episode, before Grogu was taken for Jedi training by Master Luke Skywalker, there was an epic battle between Bo-Katan, Din Djarin and Moff Gideon. Bo-Katan teamed up with Din to help rescue Grogu and also take back the Darksaber, which legend tells was created thousands of years prior by the first Mandalorian Jedi.

Though Bo-Katan had been hunting for the Darksaber for years — to solidify her rightful claim as the leader of the Mandalorian people — it was Din Djarin who bested Moff Gideon in the fight, earning himself the Darksaber. Din Djarin tried to give Bo-Katan the Darksaber, but she refused because of the long-held tradition of earning the weapon in battle.

Sackhoff told ComicBook.com:

"She fits beautifully as this character that is in that world right now, and it would be selfish of me to want more."
