Back in December 2020, Disney announced the development of several Star Wars Disney+ series’ set to be released over the next few years.

One of these upcoming series will be a live-action series, focused around the character Ahsoka Tano, with the show simply being titled Ahsoka.

Set to take place during The Mandalorian timeline, the series will take place approximately five years after the events of Return of the Jedi with the titular character (being played by Rosario Dawson), reprising her role from The Mandalorian.

With the show being set during this time period, there is the potential for many familiar characters from the original, prequel and maybe even sequel trilogies to make an appearance, in addition to characters from the animated series.

The showrunners have stated in the past that many of these shows will be interconnected, with multiple characters able to cross over between multiple series. And it’s more of a matter of “who” will show up “where” rather than an “if.” With all that said, here are 10 characters who could appear in the Ahsoka series.

1. Grand Admiral Thrawn

Seeing as he was straight up name-dropped by Ahsoka as part of her appearance in The Mandalorian, it seems very predictable that Grand Admiral Thrawn will make his live-action debut in her upcoming series.

Originally a fan-favorite character from Star Wars Legends, Thrawn was reintroduced to Star Wars fans as a part of the Star Wars Rebels series, and he appears to be set for a larger role in Ahsoka.

In Star Wars Legends, Thrawn headed the remnants of the Empire following the death of Emperor Palpatine, and as Ahsoka is set to take place five years following the events of Revenge of the Sith, we can assume he’ll be included in a similar role going forward.

At the conclusion of Star Wars Rebels, Thrawn was last seen with Ezra Bridger heading into the unknown regions of space. But what happened after then remains unknown.

While it’s unclear if Thrawn has returned from the unknown regions or if Ahsoka is heading out there to find him (and possibly Ezra) it seems like a really safe bet to make that she’ll be bumping into him at some point in the show.
