5. Luke Skywalker

In what was arguably one of the biggest surprises in the history of television, Luke Skywalker’s appearance in the finale of The Mandalorian’s second season shocked the Star Wars fan base.

While it was a great surprise, his appearance as a CGI re-creation of a young Mark Hamill showed that Disney is likely willing to use the character in other shows and movies moving forward, and the Ahsoka series is likely a candidate for the character’s next one.

Skywalker is one of the most recognizable characters in all of media, so that alone would be incentive enough for him to make an appearance. But not only that: he has a unique connection to Ahsoka already.

Although the two have never met, Luke is the son of Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi who trained Ahsoka and helped make her into the seasoned warrior she was in her appearance in The Mandalorian.

Having Ahsoka meet the son of her former Master would be a special moment for many Star Wars fans and would help to further bridge the gap between The Clone Wars animated series, and the original trilogy timelines.

Not only that, Luke would be afforded the chance to tell his father’s apprentice that after falling to the Dark Side, he did return to the Light before his death, hopefully giving Ahsoka closure for one of her dearest friends.
