Disney+ may have been a newcomer to the streaming game, but with the introduction of its original content, it’s proven to be just as strong as (if not better than) some of its competitors. And of course, many of us have been big fans.
The Mandalorian was Disney+’s flagship show at launch, and it’s already proven to be a cultural phenomenon — even among the most casual Star Wars fans. And just recently, its latest entry from the MCU, WandaVision, has proven to be a big hit with TV viewers as well — just wrapping the nine-episode series with its finale today.
A lot of celebrities have been gushing about those shows, and even Star Wars’ very own Daisy Ridley has enjoyed watching them. Ridley revealed some of her TV picks to author Sariah Wilson, who has been sharing snippets of her interview with Ridley over the past few weeks. And in one of the latest highlights of the interview, Ridley shared that she had indeed been watching WandaVision just like the rest of us and totally enjoying it.
design is very beautiful. Mandalorian. Have you seen The Mandalorian?"

Have...I...seen The Mandalorian?
Uh... pic.twitter.com/qQHhpEGbp0
The conversation, according to Wilson, then moved on to talk about The Mandalorian season 2 finale. And apparently, not even Daisy Ridley knew what was coming with that season 2 twist at the end. She, herself, has had scenes with Mark Hamill/Luke Skywalker and is a part of the Skywalker saga. So it’s interesting to see that no one, really, had been privy to the big secret that was Luke Skywalker’s return.
She was trying to figure out the timeline (& Daisy fans will be able to imagine just how she said this next part): "In that last episode I was like, is that Luke? How is that Luke? Is that Luke? I thought it wasn't the right time period for Luke. And there was Luke."

In addition to that, Ridley also shared some of her TV picks that she’s been watching lately, and it’s a pretty solid list. If you’ve been looking for some binge-worthy recommendations, look no further than Ridley’s list, which includes some of the best television on TV right now.
Here’s what Ridley mentions she’s been watching:

I May Destroy You
Succession
Watchmen
Schitt's Creek
Broad City
She's found it a bit harder to concentrate on books w/all that's going on, & prefers shows that are 1/2 hr to 45 min.
Surely, there’s no doubt that there’s plenty of great shows out there to watch right now. But take it from Daisy Ridley. If you want to watch some of the best TV shows, her list has some great recommendations.
