15. Finn  (Ray Fisher)

Speaking of another performer that Star Wars could benefit from casting in a major role, Ray Fisher went through the early audition process for the role of Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Seeing that both Tom Holland and Ray Fisher auditioned for the role, does make one wonder how many different directions they had envisioned taking the role of Finn.

During a Twitch stream, Fisher discussed the audition process for Star Wars, comparing it to the experience he had while auditioning for the role of Cyborg in Justice League. “I did not audition in any intense capacity for Star Wars. In fact, I wasn’t even technically made aware of what the stuff was that I was reading. I don’t think it went further than me putting something on tape and having that be that. […] My experience with Star Wars was probably the equivalent of like maybe a first step, a baby step of what a process would be.”

In the end, J.J. Abrams and the team behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens went ahead with pursuing John Boyega for the role of Finn, but it is fun to imagine how Ray Fisher may have handled the role.
