3. Dengar

Originally appearing in Star Wars as one of the many bounty hunters Darth Vader recruited to track down Han Solo, Dengar has a storied lore in Star Wars Legends and would be an excellent inclusion in The Book of Boba Fett.

Originally from the planet Corellia (same as Han Solo), Dengar is another famous bounty hunter from the Galactic Civil War era, and like Bossk, has a prior connection to Boba Fett.

While not as deep as the history between Boba and Bossk, the two had worked together in the past on operations as a part of a syndicate of hunters called Krayt’s Claw, and the two can also be seen socializing together at Jabba’s Palace during Return of the Jedi before Luke Skywalker rescued Han Solo and destroyed Jabba’s sail barge.

While Fett was presumed dead following the destruction of Jabba’s barge, Dengar survived and continued on as an active bounty hunter in the years that followed.

As Dengar worked with the Hutts in the past, now that his old friend Boba is heading up their crime syndicate, it isn’t too far-fetched an idea that he could be brought in to work for Fett in the future.

While Dengar is a human, he would need to be recast if he were to be brought in for future episodes, which would be an excellent opportunity for Johnathan Banks to be folded into the world of Star Wars — as he has been one of the actors fans have wanted to take up the mantel for years.

The Book of Boba Fett is as good a place as any to finally pull the trigger on it.
