7. Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla

Their partnership began before either of them formally joined the Rebel Alliance. Kanan was a lone survivor of the Jedi Purge, who wanted only to conceal his identity from the rest of the galaxy, and Hera was the daughter of Clone Wars General Cham Syndulla. While Kanan was often reluctant to be a part of the Rebel Alliance, he nevertheless did his part and eventually lent his strengths to the Alliance at Hera’s request. With each episode of Star Wars: Rebels and each mission Kanan and Hera engage in, the way they feel about each other comes more and more to the light.

When Hera is captured by the Empire on Lothal in one of the final season episodes, Kanan, Ezra, and Sabine mount a daring rescue. When Kanan and Hera reunite, they finally confess their love for each other, but tragically, their joy is short-lived as Kanan gives his life to save Hera and their friends. The end of Rebels reveals, however, that the legacy of their relationship lives on in a son named Jacen Syndulla. Kanan and Hera were instrumental in the success of the Rebellion against the Empire and became one of the most-loved duos among Star Wars fans.
