The Force is definitely strong with this timepiece, as Kross Studio today unveiled a new luxury watch as part of their Star Wars-themed collection. However, this is not just any old watch branded from a galaxy far, far away.

The watch is the centerpiece of Kross’s Ultimate Collector Series, a luxury collection based on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Besides the watch itself, the Ultimate Collector Series includes custom pieces meant to complement the watch itself, such as a display case designed to resemble a kyber crystal container.

The actual watch is known as a tourbillon, an extra, very rare mechanical piece designed to improve the watch’s overall performance. The body of the watch is based on the Death Star, and Kross Studio worked hard to make it a one of a kind wrist accessory:

"Like the powerful battle station itself, the masterpiece of 281 components highlights notable technical innovations, such as the hands which have been affixed to a peripheral display that orbits 360 degrees around the tourbillon."

Although the Death Star centerpiece is the crown jewel of the watch, the entire build is representative of multiple elements of the Imperial armada seen in Rogue One:

"The hour hand embodies an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer, the bane of the rebellion, while the minute hand appears as a Super-Class Star Destroyer, one of the most powerful Empire vessels."

The watch comes with many other luxury features, such as interchangeable leather straps in multiple colors, a sapphire crystal to house the watch mechanics, and a black titanium coating. Besides just getting the watch and display case, each purchase also comes with an actual screen-used kyber crystal from Rogue One.

There are 10 uniquely numbered pieces available on Kross’s website, on sale for a cool $150,000. So while most people won’t be able to get their hands on one, there is certainly an opportunity for a well-off Star Wars fan to get their hands on one.

Kross Studio is a luxury art and design house that bills its mission as “[Creating] exclusive art pieces for the finest collectors.” The company is headquartered in Gland, Switzerland, near Lake Geneva.
