How to get a reservation for the Rise of the Resistance ride
Getting a reservation at Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is one thing, but what about the very popular Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride at Walt Disney World?
The current pandemic climate is still affecting the way guests at Disney do almost everything, and that includes getting on the attractions and rides. But these tips might help you get a boarding group.
The first thing to know is that you have to make a virtual reservation for Rise of the Resistance through the My Disney Experience app. Boarding groups for the ride become available at 7 a.m each day from any location, and then again at 1 p.m. only if you are inside the Hollywood Studios park. If you are able to get a boarding group, join it quickly, and then you’ll receive your boarding group number.
You will get notified when you need to enter the queue at the attraction. The wait time can vary, so patience is key.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance reservation tips
You can find more advice about how to proceed once you have successfully joined your boarding group by checking out this article from Undercover Tourist. One of the best tips they include is to continuously check the app for updates about your boarding group, and be sure to set a reminder alarm on your phone before 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Another thing to keep in mind is to designate one person in your group to try to find a boarding group for the ride.
Getting a reservation might seem impossible but evidence has proven it is possible. In a video about Rise of the Resistance from YouTube Channel Paging Mr. Morrow, he was able to get a last-minute boarding group by simply checking the My Disney Experience app!
Another added tip, which comes from the Disney Food Blog YouTube channel: screenshot everything. Host A.J. Wolfe recommends taking screenshots of your reservations from the My Disney Experience app including if you are able to get a Rise of the Resistance boarding group.
Why does this matter? Well because sometimes things can unexpectedly happen such as the app can glitch.
It would be really sad if you were finally able to get a boarding group and then couldn’t get on the ride because of a glitch. Wolfe recommends that you visit a cast member at Guest Relations and explain what happened.
That screenshot and evidence that you were in the park, may help you still get onto that ride.
