1. Tau 

Tau is a Netflix-created sci-fi thriller. For fans of droids, suspense, action and thrills, this pick is for you. The movie follows a thief named Julia. She is abducted from her home and wakes up to discover an implant in her neck and was tortured by a random man named Alex.

Julia learns that Alex is an inventor who created a robot named Aries, which is run by an artificial intelligence named Tau. Julia attempts to escape but Tau kills the two other hostages and almost kills her before Alex stops it. Alex explains that he is working on the A.I. project and using her data for it. Because she destroyed the lab in her escape attempt, he forces her to complete tasks, tests, and puzzles to get more information and research. When Alex leaves his home, Julia speaks to Tau about what the outside world is like, while realizing that Tau doesn’t know everything about life.

Although reviews were mixed, with most critics grading it harshly, it is a unique plot and features Gary Oldman as the voice of the A.I. named Tau.
