As announced by Star Wars last week, filming for the Ewan McGregor-led series Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ should be underway this month. And as filming is set to begin, there’s already a new, unofficial video out from the set of the series.

The video is quite long, and it was originally uploaded to TikTok by user ayalatvjr (via Bespin Bulletin). As you’ll see in the video, we get something similar to a backlot tour of the set of Obi-Wan Kenobi through this leaked video. And you briefly see the videographer riding passenger in a car as it drives down the near-endless streets that are a part of the large-scale set.

The setting looks quite familiar too, judging by the buildings and the landscape, and it’s very possible that this is the set build for Tatooine. Already, we’ve seen the Skywalker home planet in both The Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 recently, so it will be a welcomed return to revisit the planet once again when it’s time for the Obi-Wan series to begin streaming.

As Star Wars News Net mentions, there is one very obvious reason to return to Tatooine — of course, Obi-Wan settles on Tatooine after Order 66 and lives under the name Ben Kenobi. And not only that, but he keeps a watchful eye over Luke Skywalker until it is time to reveal the truth to him. And since we recently learned that Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru are poised to appear in this television series, that means we could even be spending some time on the old Tatooine farm that Luke grew up on.

Other than that, we’ll likely get to see what else Obi-Wan was up to while on Tatooine, perhaps trying to avoid Jabba the Hutt or making deals with the Jawa like Cobb Vanth. It seems like Star Wars is really trying to dig deeper into the lore of the Skywalker’s home planet, especially with these TV series. And it shows that even though the Skywalker saga is over in the films, there’s still plenty to explore about the Skywalkers that we didn’t get to see in the movies.

Knowing that, it’ll also be interesting to see how Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader will fit into all of this. And we can’t wait to learn more about what’s in store for this limited Disney+ series.
