What’s coming to Disney Plus in May 2021: The Bad Batch and more

Spring is in full swing, and Disney+ has lots of good options in store for those days when you prefer your couch to the warm weather outside.
On the Star Wars side, we’re gearing up for the big premiere of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The long-anticipated spinoff to Star Wars: The Clone Wars follows Clone Force 99 as they deal with the aftermath of the Clone Wars and the new era of the Empire. It was previously announced that the series will premiere with a 70-minute episode on May 4 (Star Wars Day), and then another episode on May 7. After that, episodes are set to stream weekly on Fridays. So we’ll get five episodes total for the month of May!
For the Disney movie fans, another Premier Access film is heading to the streaming service. Cruella, starring Emma Stone, will hit the platform on May 28. Similar to other Premier Access titles like Mulan and Raya and the Last Dragon, the film will be available to watch for an additional fee.
On top of that, there’s some good news for Marvel fans. While The Falcon and the Winter Soldier sees its finale at the end of April, Disney+ is adding some old Fox films into the mix. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer arrives on May 7, and X-Men: The Last Stand will be hitting the streaming service on May 14.
