6. Padme Amidala

Along with Anakin and Obi-Wan, the character of Padme Amidala was the third protagonist of the story which the prequel trilogy stemmed around, and in many ways, her role was the most integral part.

Anakin’s desire to protect her is what led to his fall to the darkside, setting the wheels in motion for the events of all nine films in the Skywalker saga.

With both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reprising their roles for the first time since the Star Wars prequels, it would be fitting that Natalie Portman make her return to the franchise as Padme in the Kenobi series as well.

Love her or hate her, the character of Padme is what launched Portman’s career, and seeing as she is signed with Disney as a part of the Marvel franchise, her making a return to the Star Wars galaxy isn’t too far a stretch.

Padme is dead during this part of the time in the Star Wars franchise, having passed after giving birth to Luke and Leia. And seeing as she lacks any Force abilities, her appearing as a Force Ghost is surely out of the question.

So, for the former Queen of Naboo to make an appearance, it would likely need to be alongside Anakin in a flashback prior to the events of Revenge of the Sith or possibly in one of Obi-Wan’s nightmares, with him being haunted about his past and things he could have done differently.

Regardless of how she could appear, bringing back Padme Amidala in any capacity would be a great piece of nostalgia fans of the prequels would certainly enjoy.
