Ahead of Star Wars Day, a series of video game discounts have been announced!

May the Fourth is just around the corner, and it’s unsurprising that we can expect a flurry of discounts and deals ready for Star Wars Day! A host of information, regarding how the series will be celebrated in video games, has been released, with a couple of interesting tidbits sprinkled in!

The headline news is that the critical and commercial smash, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will be getting a PS5 and Xbox Series S|X rerelease. The 2019 action-adventure title was given a “performance boost” patch earlier this year, which took advantage of the extra power found in the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Information on the next-gen release of the title is sparse. However, the title will be a free upgrade to existing owners, and will boast “a number of technical achievements”. The post claims that “more details will come soon”, so we shouldn’t have long to wait to find out more.

For those who haven’t picked up the title as of yet, it is included in the “EA Star Wars Triple Bundle”. The bundle, which brings together the three most recent EA Star Wars titles (Squadrons, Jedi: Fallen Order, Battlefront II) into one package, is valid until May 11, and represents a saving of up to 50%. Additionally, recently re-released classic Star Wars titles, such as Episode I Racer, as well as the Jedi Knight titles, are all given a discount of up to 65%, across all platforms, until May 12.

It’s not just discounts that you can look forward to, either. Players of The Old Republic can receive a new astromech partner, inspired by the upcoming Bad Batch series, by logging in between May 4 and May 11. Similarly, new cosmetics for both the New Republic and the Empire can be unlocked in Star Wars Squadrons from May 4.

As you can imagine, this is just the tip of the iceberg for what you can look forward to this coming Star Wars Day. Check out the full list at StarWars.com for full details. As always, there’s a possibility we’ll have a host of announcements on the day, which is exciting in itself! Be sure to stay tuned to Dork Side of the Force, as we break that news as it happens!
