Rahul Kohli has been a favorite among fans to play the role of Ezra Bridger in The Mandalorian and now we have our first glimpse of what he could look like in the role.

During the second season of The Mandalorianthe Disney Plus original series managed to introduce fans to the live-action debuts of several beloved and iconic characters.

Across the show’s eight-episode sophomore season, The Mandalorian introduced viewers to the likes of Star Wars: Aftermath‘s Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant), Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels’ Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Star Wars: The Clone Wars’  Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). And let’s not forget those two shocking cameos from the season 2 finale!

With so many characters making their live-action debuts in the series, all eyes have been on which characters from the vast number of Star Wars animated shows and books could be next to debut in the live-action universe. Chief among them being Ezra Bridger and it seems fans have a good idea of who they’d like to see play the role!

What Rahul Kohli could look like as Ezra Bridger in The Mandalorian

While there have been many names to emerge in recent months when discussing who should play Ezra Bridger in The Mandalorian including Aladdin actor Mena Massoud, one actor who has the support of many fans is iZombie star Rahul Kohli.

From the moment rumors started swirling over whether Ezra could be making his way to the Star Wars live-action universe, Kohli has come in at the top of many fans’ wishlist to play the character largely due to the love he has for the Star Wars franchise. After all, who better to play such a beloved character than someone who considers themselves to be a fan and knows the source material?

It also doesn’t hurt that Kohli just so happens to favor the character and if there was ever any doubt among fans as to whether he could make a good Ezra, one artist’s concept art should be more than enough to put those concerns to rest.

Inspired by the idea of Ezra appearing in The Mandalorian, artist Dalton “Checkers” Barrett created an incredible fan rendering showing fellow fans just how incredible Kohli would look in the role if given the chance!

As you can see in the stunning fan art, no detail is spared as Barrett masterfully transforms Kohli into Ezra complete with his iconic suit and lightsaber. The concept art, admittedly has us feeling even more excited about the possibility of Rahul Kohli playing Ezra in The Mandalorian, but is there actually anything to the casting rumors that have been swirling?

Will Rahul Kohli appear in The Mandalorian season 3?

At the moment, Disney Plus has not announced any cast additions to The Mandalorian season 3 and it’s unlikely the creative team behind the series will let any major casting decisions slip before the season airs. As such, it is unclear whether Rahul Kohli will be joining The Mandalorian cast as Ezra Bridger.

While Kohli has expressed interest in the role in the past, directly campaigning to play the iconic Star Wars Rebels character, it seems he’s recently changed his tune.

In January 2021, Kohli seemed to shut down the rumors that he had been cast in the role of Ezra Bridger even going as far as to mute the character’s name on Twitter to prevent any new notifications for tweets that include the phrase. Of course, this could have been to throw fans off his trail in the off chance he had been cast as we’ll have to wait for The Mandalorian season 3 to debut before we can know with certainty whether Ezra will be making his live-action debut.
