Disney+ has some special content in store for Star Wars Day this year, including some new surprise announcements that we never saw coming.

Of course, the premiere of Star Wars: The Bad Batch begins on May 4 — kicking off a full 16-episode season featuring the guys of Clone Force 99. But there’s even more in store for Star Wars fans coming from Disney+, and one may even appeal to fans of a long-running cartoon that’s found its home on the streaming service.

Disney+ announced today that a new Star Wars-inspired short from The Simpsons will be arriving on May 4. The short is titled Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens From Its Nap, and it’ll feature the littlest Simpson on an epic journey of Star Wars proportions. Here’s how Disney+ describes the short:

"In a daycare far, far away… but still in Springfield, Maggie is on an epic quest for her stolen pacifier. Her adventure brings her face-to-face with young Padawans, Sith Lords, familiar droids, Rebel scum, and an ultimate battle against the dark side, in this original short celebrating the Star Wars galaxy."

Judging by the poster, it looks like this unique parody will feature Maggie Simpson in the world of Star Wars as she encounters her rival (who looks like a little Darth Maul in the poster.) And it’s possible we’ll see some familiar Star Wars characters as well — seeing as BB-8 is featured next to Maggie in the poster.

In addition to the Simpsons short, Disney+ has announced two new viewing offerings that will be available on the platform as well. The first is called Star Wars Biomes, which Disney+ writes:

"Take a virtual vacation to some of the Star Wars films’ most iconic and beloved locations like Hoth, Tatooine, and Sorgan as this charming series whisks you off for fly-over tours of a galaxy far, far away."

The second of the new offerings is called Star Wars Vehicle Flythroughs, which they describe as the following:

"Get up-close-and-personal with two of the Star Wars films’ most iconic and beloved ships as this charming content leads viewers on an exploration of the memorable interiors and exteriors of the Millennium Falcon and an Imperial Star Destroyer."

On top of all that, Disney+ is also featuring special fan art to promote the Star Wars titles this week. These works of art were specifically commissioned by Lucasfilm and Disney, and you can see them right now as you explore Star Wars titles over on Disney+. If you happen to be a fan of these works of art, Disney will also be selling these as prints on various items available for purchase on Amazon — but act quick! They will arrive on the Amazon shop beginning May 4 and will only be around until May 9.
