11. Oscar Isaac

Of the new crop of actors cast for the sequel Star Wars trilogy, Oscar Isaac was perhaps the best known at the time of his casting. Before The Force Awakens, Isaac had been a working film and television actor for nearly twenty years.

Isaac had already developed a devoted fanbase, appearing most notably in Ex Machina, Inside Llewyn Davis, and Show Me a Hero, which earned him his first Golden Globe win.

As Poe Dameron, a cocky Rebel pilot who made fast friends with Finn and loved BB-8 like a puppy, Isaac solidified and expanded his fanbase and further launched his career as a massive star.

Isaac appeared in each of the new Star Wars trilogy sequels while also landing roles in massive films like X-Men: Apocalypse and Annihilation. Throughout his career, Isaac has become known as an actor who can work in both comic book and science fiction genre films as well as grounded and serious dramatic roles.

Isaac’s career is still on the rise with no sign of stopping anytime soon. Fans can look for him in the upcoming movies Dune and Metal Gear Solid as well as the Marvel television series Moon Knight, reuniting him with Disney once again.
