What’s coming to Disney Plus in June 2021: The Bad Batch continues, Loki and more

Summer is almost upon us, and with that brings a new batch (no Star Wars pun intended) of titles coming to the Disney+ streaming service. From Star Wars to Marvel and even Pixar, Disney+ has something new for just about every corner of Disney this month, and it should make for one exciting summer of streaming this year.

As we know over here, The Bad Batch premiered in early May, but it’s not over yet! The series is set to have 16 episodes total, which means the entire month of June will be filled with more episodes of The Bad Batch every Friday. For now, it’s still the only new Star Wars project coming out (but we’ll have The Book of Boba Fett to look out for later in the year.)

Marvel fans will be happy to know its live-action series will return with the premiere of Loki, coming June 9. But like Loki, Disney+ also has a few tricks up its sleeve with this premiere, so stay alert. Unlike most Disney+ series, this show will be dropping every Wednesday (not Friday). But at least it gives us Marvel and Star Wars fans enough time to process each of the respective shows on different days.

Finally, a new film is headed to the streaming service with Premier Access. Pixar’s latest movie, Luca, will be skipping theaters and going directly to streaming beginning June 18. So if you’d like to see this Pixar film at home, it will cost you an additional fee, much like Disney+’s past premiere access films.
