If you have been to Galaxy’s Edge recently you may have noticed some changes — specifically with the Star Wars Rise of the Resistance ride.

For those unfamiliar, Rise of the Resistance takes guests on a crazy journey with the Rebel Alliance. After getting captured by the First Order, guests must escape the clutches of Kylo Ren through a chaotic and visual masterpiece of a ride.

To get a better first-hand perspective at the exciting and interactive ride there are several videos on YouTube ready for watching.

Blog Mickey has the scoop on the changes and what remains the same. It looks like plexiglass and physical distancing markers have been removed from the pre-show areas of the ride at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.

You may have noticed the Star Wars Rise of the Resistance ride looks a little different with several changes happening in the pre-show areas

Physical distancing has also changed to guests standing 3 feet apart. Physical distancing markers appear to remain in the interrogation room and staging areas.

Will these changes remain? Unfortunately, there is no telling at the moment.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see more changes like this to other Disney Park rides and attractions as updates continue to unfold with COVID-19 procedures. Changes have already been made to the beloved Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom and the ever-popular Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios.

Will this ultimately mean that guests can interact with beloved Star Wars characters once again? Hopefully, that will return again soon.

As always, if you are planning to visit Walt Disney World or Disneyland be sure to check the rules and guidelines for the latest COVID-19 procedures.
