Star Wars characters who should get a spin-off series: Avar Kriss

Here’s the first entry on this list from the new High Republic series. If Lucasfilm decides to incorporate more of this new series of books and comics into live-action, Avar Kriss would be the Jedi Master to base a series around.

For those unaware, Star Wars: The High Republic is a new series of books, novels, and comics set within the Star Wars universe, taking place roughly 200 years before the events of the films.

While many new characters are being introduced in this series, one of the most popular has been Avar Kriss, a female human Jedi Master who was heavily involved in saving the galaxy during the Great Disaster, when a starship split apart in hyperspace, sending debris around the galaxy traveling at lightspeed.

Kriss was one of the main protagonists of The High Republic and was one of the most powerful Jedi of her time due to her talent as a lightsaber duelist and because of her strong connection to the Force.

The upcoming show Star Wars: Acolyte will take place during this time period, at the tail end of the High Republic Era, so Lucasfilm is clearly already planning on bringing the era of Star Wars into their live-action series.

Seeing as Kriss is such a powerful Jedi, she’d be the perfect character to base a new series around, with many people already fan-casting actress Brie Larson to portray her. If they could get such a prominent actress to bring this character to life, then Avar Kriss stands a good chance of crossing over into her own series.
